This commit handles situations when some annotation in deserialized code
has an empty array literal argument [] or even non-empty [something].
Before this commit, we tried to guess a type of this array by "resolving"
the relevant annotation class and looking into the corresponding
parameter. Sometimes it can work, but also it can provoke recursive
resolve e.g. when the annotation class is a nested class in the same scope.
In this commit we changed the behavior in the following way:
- first, for non-empty array literals in deserialized code we just
take the array type from the corresponding array literal element
- second, for empty array literals we no more try to "guess" anything.
Instead we approximate array type as Array<Any>, and later at FIR2IR
stage we use the corresponding parameter type instead. At FIR2IR stage,
everything is already resolved and problems with recursions are no more
possible.
#KT-62598 Fixed
Before this commit, we first tried to guess a type of array literal
in deserialized annotation (it's a strange heuristics which can
lead to SOE and maybe not needed at all, see KT-62598, KT-62929),
and then, if unsuccessful, took the type from the first literal element,
if any. Since the second heuristic is much more clear, safe, and
understandable, in this commit they were swapped.
This commit does not fix KT-62598 in general case,
but decreases a set of cases when it can occur to
empty array literals only.
See the commented line at the end of the added test.
In previous commit (K2: prefer derived class sources...)
we changed default source for callable copy (e.g. substitution override)
to its owner class. This can create an unexpected situation in LL API,
because normally KtCallableDeclaration is expected to be a source.
This commit introduces "compensation" on analysis API side.
Before this commit, test data for 'synthesizedDataClassMembers' test
was different between PSI and LT, because we had SYNTHETIC_OFFSET = -2
for synthetic functions and NaiveSourceBasedFileEntryImpl calculated
line/column as 0 for LT. In this commit the dumper was edited to
count -1 as line -1 / column -1 independent of a file entry used.
After this commit there are three different versions of
IR source range tests: classic (K1), FIR/PSI (K2), FIR/LT (K2).
Since 5 tests behave differently for FIR/PSI and FIR/LT,
in this commit their test data was set to FIR/LT state,
so relevant 5 tests are failing for FIR/PSI right now.
They will be fixed in two subsequent commits

This commit handles subtle situation when K1 represents flexible type
arguments as just T..T?, but K2 does it as T&Any..T?.
This can provoke a type like Captured(*)&Any..Captured(*)?,
and before this commit we couldn't find recursion inside Captured(*)&Any.
This could lead to explosions inside type system and inference errors
#KT-60581 Fixed
The main reason of this commit is the fact that it makes no sense
to create type checker forks in case of two or more types which equal
each other.
Also, this commit fixes the test taken from KT-59514
(see interconnectedGenerics.kt test changed in this commit).
In this particular case we have a subType of C.WithL<Pr!, En<Pr>!>,
and a superType of R<T> with a superType constructor R.
In findCorrespondingSupertypes we get *two* similar supertypes here,
both have a string representation of:
R<Il<@EnhancedNullability En<Pr>!>!>.
If we create two forks because of it, we get NEW_INFERENCE_ERROR
with the following subtyping violation:
Il<@EnhancedNullability En<Pr>!>! <: En<Pr>!.
NEW_INFERENCE_ERROR happens because we make a redundant fork in that case,
but the forks should still work despite it (see KT-62333).
These two types appear due to the content of FirCorrespondingSupertypeCache.
For a key C.WithL and a superType R it stores the following pair of supertypes:
- R<Il<@EnhancedNullability S>!>
- R<Il<(@EnhancedNullability S & Any, @EnhancedNullability S?)>!>
After substitution of S to En<Pr>! they become similar.
NB: if we change jspecify severity level from strict to warn,
then 'R<Il<(S & Any, S?)>!>' is the only remaining supertype,
and @EnhancedNullability annotation is no more in use.
The type hierarchy in this example looks like:
WithL<T, S> <: CanWithB<T, S>, R.F<S, Il<S>>
CanWithB<T, S> <: R.F<S, Il<S>>
R.F<S, Il<S>> <: R<Il<S>>
So R is reachable by two different ways, via CanWithB and directly via R.F.

Before this commit, we allowed access to outer class type parameters
during resolve of type parameter bounds of a nested class.
In fact, outer type parameters are accessible in this situation
only if it's an inner class (or a local class).
This commit forbids such a usage. In the earlier fix of KT-57209
the same was done for regular type reference resolve.
#KT-61459 Fixed
#KT-61959 Fixed
This commit is a slightly modified revert of 4f29c113.
IS_PRE_RELEASE allows to make LATEST_STABLE version behave as
experimental when this flag is set to true.
The general goal is to prepare fix of KT-62058; after this commit
one can do it by changing IS_PRE_RELEASE flag to true.
The fix of KT-62058 is planned to be done during bootstrapping.
This preparation and the future fix are parts of umbrella KT-61951.
This commit contains two kind of fixes:
1) K2 does not create entries for empty subpackages anymore,
so for the file with 'package foo.bar.baz' it creates an entry
only for the main package 'foo.bar.baz' and not for 'foo' or 'foo.bar'
2) K2 uses changed format of the classpath for third party common lib,
now it looks like other dependencies 'name-of-lib-<version>-commonMain'
instead of 'name-of-lib-metadata-<version>'
