'equals' from any made available for overriding in inline classes
'typed' equals made available for definition in inline classes
'typed' equals definition made compulsory if 'untyped' is overridden
'operator' keyword is allowed in 'typed' equals definition
^KT-24874: Fixed
This is related to 8308f5d7d3 (KT-44977).
It turns out that it's necessary to create `ArrayValue` with a
precomputed type not only in case of annotations stored directly in
Kotlin metadata (i.e. annotations on types and type parameters), but
also for arguments of repeated annotations. The reason is that repeated
annotations are stored in an array themselves, as an argument to another
(container) annotation. The annotation-reading code unwraps this array
to load repeated annotations as individual instances of
`AnnotationDescriptor`, but in contrast to loading normal annotations,
it doesn't set `source` to the reflection object, it uses `NO_SOURCE`
(see BinaryClassAnnotationAndConstantLoaderImpl.AbstractAnnotationArgumentVisitor.visitArray).
So when kotlin-reflect is later asked for the arguments of the
annotation, it needs to recreate the reflection object from
`AnnotationDescriptor` in `util.kt`. Doing so requires knowing the array
type, which is now present because we're creating a `TypedArrayValue`
(previously `DeserializedArrayValue`) in places where arrays are read as
annotation arguments.
Alternative solution would be to fix source passed to
`AnnotationDescriptorImpl` in the annotation-reading code, but that
seems a bit messy because the code is very abstract and is used in lots
of other places.
#KT-53279 Fixed
Usage of this function is unsafe because it does not have native compiler
support. This means that compiler won't report UNCHECKED_CAST,
CAST_NEVER_SUCCEED or similar diagnostics in case of error cast
(which can happen immediately or after some refactoring of class hierarchy)
When suspend function type is serialized, there is special logic that
adds Continuation parameter, before doing so, type-aliases has to be
expanded, attributes for resulting type should also derive from
expanded type

Example: if C is a Kotlin class and there is an import of C.Companion.f,
a call to f will need to check if it is a constructor, for which
it will attempt to load C.Companion.f as a Java class. This involves
loading all outer classes, including C itself, as BinaryJavaClass - see
KotlinCliJavaFileManagerImpl - despite the fact that C and C.Companion
have both already been loaded from their Metadata annotations as Kotlin
classes, wasting cycles and polluting caches.
Thus the theoretical motivation for this change is to marginally speed
up FIR.
The real motivation is that with the -Xemit-jvm-type-annotations option,
kotlinc sometimes generates invalid annotations, and reading them with
BinaryJavaClass throws an exception (the Kotlin metadata however is
valid):
// MODULE: lib
// FILE: C.kt
// The constructor has an argument of type
// List<? extends Function1<? super String, Integer>>
// and a ParameterName type annotation with path
// TYPE_ARGUMENT(0), TYPE_ARGUMENT(0)
// which is missing a WILDCARD between the two TYPE_ARGUMENTs
class C(val x: List<(name: String) -> Int>) {
companion object {
fun foo() {}
}
}
// MODULE: main(lib)
// FILE: main.kt
import C.Companion.f
fun bar() = foo() // crashes FIR
The parameter annotation should obviously be fixed too, but invalid
bytecode may already exist in the wild. Also, did I mention that this
change marginally speeds up FIR?
Skip SOURCE-retention annotations in builtins serialization tests,
because otherwise the source analysis result can't be equal to the
metadata deserialization result.
#KT-53073 Fixed
To make it available for dynamically attached JVMTI agents.
`@SourceDebugExtension` annotation value is equal to the
SourceDebugExtension attribute value, which is checked now for all box
tests. The difference is that the annotation stored in the constant
pool, which is available for dynamically attached JVMTI agents.
#KT-53438 Fixed
Right now it is the easiest way to ensure that all the parameters are
resolved. After KT-53573 is fixed, we might use `resolvedReturnTypeRef`
on each parameter individually instead
Also, add `toString` implementation to `ValueClassRepresentation`
classes, so they are properly rendered in testdata
^KTIJ-22630 Fixed
Too many places right now depend on `KotlinClassHeader.data` and
`KotlinClassHeader.strings` being saved even if empty,
and not being null

Enum-type inherits java.io.Serializable on JVM, so it needs
to be refinement ot avoid TYPE_MISMATCH errors.
Note that for the refinement of Enum-type itself it's necessary
to force refinement of enum-entries, otherwise their supertypes
(and Enum-type specifically) won't be touched
Tests are added on IJ side
^KT-53514
Before this commit, we added Enum.entries only in case when
LanguageFeature.EnumEntries was ON (with an exception in K1/Java case).
In this commit we add Enum.entries unconditionally, and in case
the language feature is OFF we filter them out during tower resolve.
Leveraging the same mechanism with $EntriesMapping as Java enums.
Old (compiled with LV/AV < 1.8) enums are detected by looking for
static special <get-entries> method that cannot be introduced on
Kotlin enums otherwise
