along with source lines mapping, allows to "emulate" usage of the
PSI files which allows to extract source file and line mapping info
on every stage from source element.
It makes sense to use this mapping for the error reporting too.
Previously enhanced symbols were cached inside SignatureEnhancement,
which is created independently for each enhancement scope. This may
cause creation of multiple enhanced symbols for same java declaration
in presence of multiple scope sessions (mutithread compiler, IDE,
separate scope session for checkers)
^KT-50858 Fixed
FirExtensionRegistrar is FIR specific extension which requires FIR
classes to work, which are missing in dependencies of FE 1.0 IDE plugin.
To fix this issue FirExtensionRegistrarAdapter is introduced. This
class is a base class for FirExtensionRegistrar and it does not have
any FIR specific classes in it's API, so it can be safely registered
in IDE
After that commit it's allowed to register any FIR plugin using
existing extension infrastructure (`-Xplugin` CLI argument,
plugin.xml for IDE plugins, etc)
Methods `needToGenerateAdditionalMembersInClass` and
`needToGenerateNestedClassifiersInClass` are removed, now compiler
uses `get...Names` and `getTopLevel...` methods to determine which
extension may generate declaration with specific classId/callableId
This is needed to simplify API of FirDeclarationGenerationExtension and
provide guarantee that `generate...` method will be called with
specific classId/callableId only if specific extensions returned name
for this id from `getName...` functions
Those modules are:
- :compiler:fir:providers, which contains Fir and Symbol providers,
scopes, and different utilities used by them
- :compiler:fir:semantics, which contains different abstractions and
entities which are used in resolution and in checkers
- :compiler:fir:resolve, which contains all stuff related to resolution
and inference
There are two pros of this change:
1. It may increase gradle build, because it allows to compile :fir:resolve
and :fir:checkers modules in parallel
2. Logic of working FIR (scopes, providers, DFA logic system, etc) is
now separated from logic of resolution phases, so for example checkers,
which are depend on scopes physically will not be able to run resolve
in any way
